Some of the unique custom features and add-ons to EntropiaForum.com include:
- Image Gallery - Members have unlimited storage space to upload screenshots and images. The EF Gallery contains over 190,000 images, and has received close to 10 million views.
- Blogs - Every EF member has access to a customizable personal blog to share their Entropia Universe experiences.
- Live Chatroom - A java-based chatroom, fully integrated with the forum user database, is available to all EntropiaForum members. The EF Chatroom often hosts live chat sessions with representatives from MindArk PE AB, the developers of Entropia Universe.
- Forum Points - A currency system rewards members for activity and contributions to the forum community. These points, EntropiaForum Dollars (EFD), can then be used by members to purchase enhanced features such as custom icons, customised user names and titles, and more.
- Community Advertising - A dedicated advertising system, EF Adspace, allows members to use their forum points (EFD) to purchase community-related leaderboard ads for their Entropia Universe events, promotions, etc.
- Social Networking - Every member has a fully customisable profile page, which allows members to change the fonts, background images, colors, and entire look and feel of their personal profile page. Members can also create a contact list of fellow members, associates and friends, and use that list to limit viewing of profile elements accordingly. Member-created social groups are also offered, which allow members to create on-the-fly public, private or invitation-only groups focused on any topic. Social groups can have their own discussion threads, images and group icons.
- Radio Player - A built-in media player is available to members, allowing them to easily listen in to broadcasts from companion site EntropiaRadio.com while browsing the forum.
- Forum Spy - An AJAX-based module which allows members to keep up with new posts as they happen in real-time. A very useful feature for a highly active forum such as EF. Note: this feature is unavailable to unregistered guests.
- Premium Memberships - Members can upgrade their user accounts to gain additional forum features and permissions, and hide advertisements.
- Custom Enhancements - Dozens of other enhancements to the base vBulletin platform have been implemented on EntropiaForum to provide additional user-friendliness, convenience, and advanced features.

L4DFiles is a companion site to Left4DeadForums.com and focuses on user-created custom modifications and content for Left 4 Dead. L4DFiles provides all members with 500 MB of free file storage space, along with unlimited bandwidth to share their custom creations with the Left 4 Dead gaming community. Launched in early May 2009, L4DFiles is poised to become a central hub for the sharing of Left 4 Dead mods, maps, skins, and other custom game content. The developer and producer of Left 4 Dead, Valve Software, has recently released a public software development kit (SDK), which allows fans to create many types of custom gameplay content, including: maps, mods, campaigns, soundpacks, sprays and skins. |
To accomodate the flood of user-created content sure to soon emerge, L4DFiles offers members 500 MB of free storage space and unlimited bandwidth to share their projects with other members of the Left 4 Dead community. Hardcore content developers and frequent contributors are provided with additional storage space (2 GB or more), as well as other tools to aid development teams, such as private discussion forums.
The primary feature of L4DFiles is the advanced Downloads forum module, which is fully integrated with the forum and user database. This Downloads module organizes all member files into dedicated categories, and allows contributors to provide screencaps, detailed descriptions and screenshots, and provides detailed statistics relating to contributors, number of downloads and uploads, bandwidth and more. Other members can then provide feedback, comments and ratings for each file in the Downloads database. For convenience, a forum thread is also automatically created each time a new file is uploaded, allowing for detailed discussion and feedback.
